My Top 3 Storybook Favorites

Below are three Storybooks that I really liked.  Each are unique and beautiful in their own way.  After looking over a few of the previous students' works, I am excited to start this project so I can make my own little storybook.

In this Storybook, the author takes a very unique look at a few of the main Greek gods and goddesses.  The author tells stories about the characters in a very gossip style tone that makes the reader feel like they are getting the inside scoop into what was really going on.  Their introduction does a great job of setting the tone of the rest of the blog and really catches the reader's attention.  I think the overall design of the blog is very nice.  It is simple, easy to navigate, and everything looks nice.  I think I will probably make my own blog a bit more colorful, though.  More pictures and such would also be nice additions.

This Storybook is very well done and clever.  The author tells the famous story of Peter Pan, but makes Captain Hook the good guy and Peter the bad guy.  I think this is very clever, because over the years, parts of the story have been left out and what's been left makes Peter Pan look like a good guy.  If you read the original, though, you can quickly see why this author was able to show Peter in bad light.  The introduction is very well done.  It explains the narration style used for the rest of the blog and also does a great job of introducing us to the story while getting us 'hook'ed for more.  The design of this blog is very nice.  The images used are very beautiful and help the reader see the setting of the story even better.  This blog has inspired me to make sure I take the extra time to find really good images and help set the scene.

I thought this Storybook was very unique.  The author tells classic nursery rhymes, but with more flourishes and a bit of side stories.  He adds in adorable stories of him and his grandmother and it is just too cute.  His introduction does a good job of letting us know how these differ from the stories we grew up with and you can really see his unique style of writing.  The overall design of the pages are very simple and nice, but I think the could use a little more color.  A few more pictures would be a nice touch to add.
